The most upto date version of the program and easiest way to instal it and recieve updates is through the Microsoft Store. If you are however running an old version of Windows, such as 7 or 8 you can download the .exe file under the release tab of the "Code" page or simply Click Here.

General Information

This documentation is designed to guide teachers and students in the use of the Transformation™ program for delivery of interactive lessons via a smart board, independent learning or for assigning and monitoring students’ progress on individual tests.

System Overview

The program consists of two main sections:

  • Transformation tool for interactive teacher and student use to teach: translations, rotations, reflections and enlargments
  • Taking tests and then monitoring and recording the student’s test data.

Organisation of This Doc

This documenation is organised in chronological order from first installing the program, to learning the basic program fundamentals and finally managing and maintain the system. Please refer to the contents page to find a key feature.

System Summary

Transformations™ has been tested on Windows® 7, Windows® 8.1 and Windows® 10 devices, as such it should be able to run on most Windows® PCs; provided the PC has at least 1GB of RAM, an Intel I3 dual core and 1GB of available storage.

However, please note that the store version is only aviable on the Windows® 10 devices. If you require the program to run on an eariler version of windows people download the executable from GitHub.

							In addition to the above requirements, Transformations™ also requires
							
								Microsoft® .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher.
							
							This is automatically download on most Windows 10 machines, but can be downloaded if needed. If you want to use the database functionality, you will also need
							
								2007 Office® System Driver: Data Connectivity Components.
							All other application dependencies will automatically install with the application. Please note: having Microsoft Access® for database management is recommended but not essential.

Other operating systems such as Mac OS or Linux are not supported by this application.

About

This program was created as part of my A-level computer science program for a local school who said there was no free alternatives online. As such, I have decided to make the program publically available for any other school who would like to teach transformations in maths.
